Ride and Tech – Rental Services

These Terms of Service govern the use of Ride and Tech rental services available at rideandtech.com. By using our platform, you agree to these terms.
Ride and Tech provides a self-drive vehicle rental marketplace connecting vehicle owners (“Providers”) with customers (“Users”). We do not own or operate vehicles unless stated otherwise.
1. Eligibility
To use Ride and Tech rental services, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Hold a valid driving license
- Provide accurate personal and contact details
- Agree to follow all applicable laws
Ride and Tech may approve or reject users or providers at its discretion.
2. Platform Role
- Ride and Tech is a technology platform only
- We facilitate bookings between users and providers
- Vehicle ownership, condition, and legality are the provider’s responsibility
- Ride and Tech is not a transport operator
3. User (Renter) Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Use vehicles for personal and lawful purposes only
- Not allow unauthorized drivers
- Return vehicles on time and in similar condition
- Follow traffic laws and safety guidelines
Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Drive under alcohol or drug influence
- Use vehicles for racing, delivery, or illegal activities
- Sub-rent the vehicle
- Tamper with GPS or vehicle systems
4. Provider (Owner) Responsibilities
Providers must:
- Own or be authorized to rent the listed vehicle
- Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, insured, and legal
- Provide accurate listing details
- Maintain vehicle hygiene and safety
False or misleading listings may lead to account suspension.
5. Commission & Payments (Providers)
- Ride and Tech operates on a commission-based model
- A service fee is deducted from each completed booking
- Commission rates may vary and are shared via dashboard or agreement
- Payouts are processed after booking completion and damage checks
6. Pricing, Payments & Deposits
- All rentals must be prepaid
- Prices may include rental fees, platform fees, and taxes
- A refundable security deposit may apply
- Extra charges may apply for:
- Late returns
- Fuel difference
- Traffic fines
- Cleaning or damage
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on timing and policy
- Refunds may be partially or fully deducted
- Detailed rules are defined in our Cancellation & Refund Policy
8. Insurance
- Insurance coverage depends on the provider’s policy
- Users must verify coverage before booking
- Insurance does not cover misuse, negligence, or illegal use
9. Account Suspension
Ride and Tech may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Policy violations
- Fraud or misuse
- Safety or legal risks
- Repeated complaints
10. Limitation of Liability
Ride and Tech is not responsible for:
- Vehicle condition disputes
- Personal belongings left in vehicles
- Indirect or consequential losses
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
All disputes fall under Indian jurisdiction.
