Ride and Tech – Rental Services

This Provider Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Ride and Tech (“Platform,” “we,” “us”) and the vehicle owner or authorized operator (“Provider,” “you”).
By listing a vehicle on rideandtech.com, you agree to the terms below.
1. Platform Role
Ride and Tech operates as a technology marketplace that connects providers with customers seeking self-drive rental vehicles.
- Ride and Tech does not own, operate, or control provider vehicles
- Providers act as independent partners, not employees or agents
2. Eligibility to Become a Provider
To list vehicles, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be the legal owner or have written authorization to rent the vehicle
- Hold valid vehicle documents, including:
- Registration (RC)
- Insurance
- Pollution certificate (if applicable)
Ride and Tech reserves the right to approve or reject any provider or vehicle.
3. Vehicle Listing Requirements
Providers must ensure:
- Accurate vehicle details, images, and pricing
- Vehicles are roadworthy, clean, and safe
- No hidden defects or unresolved mechanical issues
- No illegal modifications
Ride and Tech may suspend listings that do not meet standards.
4. Pricing & Availability
- Providers set base rental prices
- Ride and Tech may recommend pricing based on market data
- Providers must keep availability updated
- Unavailability after confirmed bookings may result in penalties
5. Commission & Payments
- Ride and Tech operates on a commission-based system
- A service fee is deducted from each completed booking
- Commission rates may vary and are communicated separately
- Payouts are released after:
- Rental completion
- Vehicle inspection
- Deduction of applicable charges
Ride and Tech may withhold payouts in case of disputes or damages.
6. Security Deposit & Deductions
- A security deposit may be collected from users
- Providers may claim deductions for:
- Vehicle damage
- Missing accessories
- Excess cleaning costs
- Claims must be supported with evidence (photos, invoices)
7. Provider Responsibilities
Providers agree to:
- Deliver vehicles on time
- Explain vehicle condition and rules to users
- Maintain insurance coverage throughout listing
- Cooperate during disputes, accidents, or legal inquiries
Failure to cooperate may lead to suspension.
8. Accidents & Damage
- Providers must inform Ride and Tech immediately of any damage claims
- Pre-existing damage must be documented before handover
- Providers may not charge users for normal wear and tear
- Insurance claims must follow applicable laws and insurer rules
9. Taxes & Compliance
Providers are solely responsible for:
- Income tax or GST obligations (if applicable)
- Local transport authority compliance
- Any fines or penalties due to provider negligence
Ride and Tech does not provide tax advice.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
Ride and Tech may suspend or terminate provider accounts if:
- False information is provided
- Repeated booking cancellations occur
- Safety or legal concerns arise
- Platform misuse or fraud is detected
11. Limitation of Liability
Ride and Tech is not responsible for:
- Loss of income
- Mechanical failures
- Indirect or consequential damages
12. Indemnification
Providers agree to indemnify Ride and Tech against claims, losses, or damages arising from:
- Vehicle condition
- Legal non-compliance
- Provider negligence
13. Changes to Agreement
Ride and Tech may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and disputes fall under Indian jurisdiction.
