Renting a vehicle should be simple and straightforward. This guide explains what to expect during vehicle pickup, throughout your trip, and when returning the vehicle through Ride And Tech.
Following these steps helps ensure a smooth rental experience and helps avoid misunderstandings or applicable additional charges.
Vehicle Pickup Process
1. Arrive on Time
Please reach the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time.
Delays may affect your booking and may result in applicable additional charges according to the rental terms.
2. Document Verification
Please carry the required original documents:
- Valid driving licence
- Government-issued ID
Your booking confirmation may also be verified during the pickup process.
3. Vehicle Inspection
Before starting your trip, inspect the vehicle carefully.
Check for:
- Existing scratches, dents, or other visible damage
- Fuel level
- Spare tyre and toolkit
- Vehicle documents
- Other provided accessories
We recommend taking photos or videos of the vehicle condition before departure.
Any pre-existing damage or other concerns should be reported to the provider before you start your trip.
4. Handover Confirmation
After the inspection:
- Confirm the recorded vehicle condition
- Receive the vehicle keys
- Understand the vehicle instructions
- Confirm the applicable fuel and return requirements
The vehicle may be accepted through a digital or physical handover confirmation.
During Your Trip
Please use the vehicle responsibly throughout the rental period.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
- Drive safely and responsibly
- Do not allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle
- Do not use the vehicle for prohibited purposes
- Take reasonable care of the vehicle and its accessories
Vehicle Return Process
1. Return on Time
Return the vehicle at the agreed date, time, and location.
Late returns may result in applicable additional charges according to the rental terms.
2. Fuel Check
Return the vehicle with the agreed fuel level.
Any difference in fuel level may result in applicable charges.
3. Final Inspection
At the time of return, the vehicle may be inspected for:
- New damage or changes in vehicle condition
- Fuel level
- Vehicle accessories
- Spare tyre and toolkit
- Vehicle documents
- Cleaning or other applicable issues
Any applicable deductions will be assessed according to the rental terms.
4. Key Handover
Hand over the vehicle keys and any required documents or accessories properly.
Where applicable, confirm that the rental has been completed and the vehicle has been returned.
Security Deposit Refund
The security deposit is processed after the vehicle return and inspection.
Applicable deductions may be made for:
- Vehicle damage
- Late return
- Fuel difference
- Traffic fines
- Applicable cleaning or other charges
Where no applicable deductions are required, the deposit refund is processed within 5–7 business days.
